TAPA # 239 THE ASSET
Since last Friday the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, I have been drilling down on Trump’s history of bankruptcy scams and sources of funding for the deals where he refinances a project then skims off the cash with bankruptcy at the conclusion. This administration is a similar journey as he uses American taxpayer dollars to leverage business…

TAPA # 237 The-Prevaricator-In-Chief
Old Bone Spurs sounded like the ‘loneliest star’ in the Texas speech last night where he attempted to influence Americans with a $5,000 dividend as a bribe if Republicans win in the midterms. It reminded me of his felonious call to the Georgia Secretary of State threatening him with jail if he didn’t change enough…

TAPA # 236 GASING GASLIGHTERS
https://youtu.be/rDZ_gaUQab4?si=NlSpMH9A3T7XglUd The best line from Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show was: “They are gas, gaslighting us.” The satire is funny, until you realize it is to reality. TAPA # 234 THE PICKPOCKET PRESIDENT
Maureen Dowd’s opinion piece says it better than I could. I’ve watched the Supreme Court become an anachronistic appendage, an addled actor pretending to be our third independent branch of government. At times I have defended their decisions because it appeared they were trying to ‘call balls and strikes’ making decisions that were independent of…

TAPA # 233 DILBERT’S DILEMMA???
As I listened to Texas Republicans plead with Trump to open his pocketbook so they could deluge the Texas market with propaganda about Paxton’s supposed virtue, Trump’s choice to represent the people of Texas in the U.S. Senate, I was struck by the irony. Using the word virtue in the same sentence with Trump seems almost oxymoronic,…

TAPA # 232 A ONE EYED CARPENTER???
Anthony Scaramucci, known as “the Mooch,” recently expressed surprise at how many holes our Constitution seems to contain, holes that Trump has chosen to drive through. I disagree. Our problem is not the form of the Constitution. It is the character of the people entrusted with managing the government it created. In a democracy, leadership…
