Rep. Jared Huffman of California tells it like it is. Tried to transfer the video but it seemed to be blocked? So here is the transcript of his speech to the House Committee. I think it is pertinent to today’s continued trail of deception, deceit and grift Trump is traveling down.

“and if we’re real, if we’re honest about what’s going on, we have a madman in the White House who is running roughshod, who is running the biggest most corrupt criminal grift in American history out of the White House. And you folks want to whistle right past the graveyard of democracy and our public lands and all of these values we take an oath to the constitution (to protect). And it seems that all of you took an oath to Donald Trump and so you want to put his name on coins and buildings and park passes. You want to penalize people who cover up this shrine to Donald Trump, and (that) park passes have been turned into this is shameful. This is a disgrace. I would love to have a serious conversation about public lands about recreation about other things where we could do good work together, but (to) pretend everything’s just fine right now in the face of this the madman. Right now (he) is in Europe driving our friends into the arms of our adversaries. He’s doing immeasurable damage to our credibility on the world stage and you guys are just fine with it. What the hell is wrong here?… I’m not going to sit here and pretend everything is just fine for our public lands for the agencies we depend on for our democracy, our credibility, for truth and justice and what’s left of integrity. That’s a disgrace. I’m not doing any justice to this committee or to the Explorer Act or anything else to sit here and pretend everything is just fine and pat ourselves on the back for what we did a year ago this is wrong this is not normal and I’m not going to normalize it.”
