Trump, when an ABC correspondent asked why you were spending time on the Reflecting Pool, your answer was revealing. It reflected your disconnection from reality, your thin skin, your narcissistic belief that everything belongs to you because you are president, and most of all, your incompetence.

Just as you spent millions on gold leaf and ego-boosting extravagances for your businesses investments, that added nothing to the bottom line and often contributed to failure, you are now treating the presidency the same way.

America is in a war you started. We have lost 13 precious lives, hundreds have been wounded, and billions of taxpayer dollars have been spent — wasted. Yet your focus is on a ballroom, a reflecting pool, or another golf course? There is a fire in the White House, and you are in the backyard feeding the goldfish?

If Congress is too weak or timid to respond, then the PEOPLE you are hurting every day must respond at the ballot box. As you inhumanely cut benefits that weaken our nation’s safety net, damage relationships with allies built over decades, undermine businesses, and tarnish the once-respected image of the United States across the world, you continue filling your own coffers on America’s tab.

We do not need a feeble gardener wandering the backyard or a lost captain steering the ship of state. We need leadership that cares about the PEOPLE and about AMERICA.
