TAPA # 160 MURDERS IN MINNEAPOLIS

Trump has no bottom to his depraved indifference to citizens’ rights. What we have witnessed in the Trump-directed invasion of Minnesota and the murders in Minneapolis confirm his fundamental inability to lead or protect the public, indeed, even our most basic right to life itself.

His coterie of loyalists Noem, Patel, Bessent, Bovino, and Blanche operate not as independent public servants but as reflections, or more accurately shadows, of Trump. They rushed to judgment, immediately tarnishing the reputation of the victim before the facts were known. When video evidence contradicted their narrative, they abruptly shifted gears, offering an obscenely concocted rationale so incoherent it boomeranged, ironically assaulting the Second Amendment, an issue their own supporters claim to revere.

Any responsible leader genuinely concerned with public safety would have followed a simple and time-tested course: first, urge calm; second, commit to a thorough and transparent investigation (conducted by an independent authority) to determine what actually happened. Instead, these officials closed ranks, not in service of truth or law, but to protect their “dear leader’s” flank. They know their actions violate constitutional rights. They know that acknowledging the truth would expose a heinous, illegal, immoral and unconstitutional abuse of power. An abuse that cost American lives.

History suggests they will eventually be discarded like so many others before them, landing in Trump’s growing pile of used-and-abandoned loyalists, without gratitude or protection from “Old Bone Spurs.”

So where are the so-called “right-to-lifers”? Where are the Christians who speak endlessly about the sanctity of life? Where are the conservatives who once objected, rightly, to federal intrusion into states’ rights? Where are the Republican champions of the First, Second, Fourth, and Tenth Amendments?

They are nowhere.

Why? Because too many appear more concerned with personal comfort, status, and power than with their sworn obligation to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

This attack on America by its own government will not end until Republican leadership accepts its responsibility to govern under the law, honor the Constitution, and place the public good above blind loyalty to a man unfit to lead.

RESIST!!! & EDUCATE!!!
